A new album from Ladyhawke seems to be finally on the way, with an interview in Triple J magazine (via InTheMix) suggesting a new LP may be forthcoming in October.
Ladyhawke, aka Pip Brown from Wellington, released her eponymous debut record back in 2008, which saw her rocket to international fame on the back of singles such as Back Of The Van, Paris Is Burning and My Delirium.
In the meantime, she has suffered from exhaustion, worked with Pnau on Embrace and slowly turned her thoughts towards a follow-up, about which she says, “Everything on the album is a little bit anxious-feeling, disjointed, but not in a negative way, just a weird sense of abandonment. I made up different versions of myself; it’s my head going crazy.”
