Australia’s first dedicated music and technology festival, Sound West, has dropped an additional event announcement as they excitedly look ahead to the full lineup drop and other key details in the New Year.
Working with APRA AMCOS, Sound West will host a special edition of the SongHubs summit at the Parramatta-based event, as well as an industry live showcase. The event and showcase, like Sound West itself, is established with the aim of bringing local talent together to create and become inspired.
This year, the songwriting residency will feature insights and creative talents by the likes of L-FRESH The LION and Nardean, as well ad the talented A.GIRL and six time Grammy nominated songwriter and producer, Khaled Rohaim. Rohaim, who has worked with everyone from Rihanna to Ariana Grande and more recently, The Kid LAROI, is back on home turf and mixing in with the talents of L-FRESH, Nardean and A.Girl – all artists who have stuck out with importance in their own rights – it’s bound to be an ace session.

L-FRESH, who has curated the entire four-day songwriting event, is in charge of selecting a range of applicants from Western Sydney, the rest of the country and New Zealand to take part.

‘SongHubs The Tower’, is currently the biggest ever edition of SongHubs, making it another first for Sound West. Held at Parramatta’s CommBank Stadium, the VIP boxes will be turned into recording studios for the series. Applications for the series are open through the APRA AMCOS website.
