Following on from the announcement of a tour early next year and a teaser graphic hinting at the release date, Van Halen have confirmed that they will release their new album on the 7th of Febraury 2012.
Their first studio effort since 1984 to feature David Lee Roth on vocals, the album has been described by the lucky few who have heard it to be a return to the band’s classic sound, and will also be the first album to feature bassist Wolfgang Van Halen, guitarist Eddie Van Halen’s son. Produced by Ross Hogarth, all signs are pointing to an album that will have die hard fans crapping themselves, as in the words of Hogarth himself the album is “the killing side of Van Halen at the top of their game again with Diamond Dave, and the band on fire.”
