The Sydney live music scene has proven that there’s still hope yet with the announcement of a brand new venue opening its doors in Surry Hills. The Soda Factory will be open for business as early as tonight, kicking things off in VIP style.
Tone Deaf got the skinny on the new digs, chatting to bar owner and Experience Entertainment Director Graham Cordery, who explains, “Surry Hills is one of the most diverse and trendy suburbs in the world, but when it comes to late night offerings, there’s been something missing,” that being a joint nearby worthy of kicking on to. The Soda Factory will be rocking a late-night trading license, and will be pumping tunage the entire time.
Their debut night saw NYC native DJ Spinna, who is just the first in a run of talent to grace the stages of The Soda Factory in the coming weeks. You can expect acts such as UK’s Greg Wilson, Electric Empire, Swede’s Drop Out Orchestra and the legendary Grandmaster Flash.
You can find The Soda Factory at 16 Wentworth Avenue, Surry Hills
