Newcastle’s brand new UP DOWN music festival — from the team behind the city’s THIS THAT festival — has made its first lineup announcement for 2019, confirming a list of dance-heavy acts for its maiden event.
The boutique beach festival will take place across two stages on the Newcastle Foreshore in March, and will be headlined by the likes of Italian dance crew The Bloody Beetroots, Swedish ‘Teenage Crimes’ producer Adrian Lux and Major Lazer’s Jillionaire.
The festival’s Aussie contingent will feature the likes of Motez, Nina Las Vegas, CARMADA, Luen, Basenji and Kilter, and there are still more acts to be announced.
Aside from the music, organisers are also promising plenty of cocktail bars and street food.
