‘Twas the night before Splendour and all through Byron every creature is stirring for the swag of Jack White, the sweet melodies of the Shins, and the no nonsense rock ‘n’ roll of The Smashing Pumpkins. Splendour weekend has finally arrived and after 8 hours on the road the Music Feeds crew have set up camp in Byron and are working round the clock to bring you the latest Splendour news.
Update 27/07: Splendour in the Grass 2012 Day One Live Updates, Photos, Video interview is here
We’ve just come back from our first visit to the Splendour site and can confirm rumours that the venue is still pretty muddy from the week’s rainfall. If you’re heading in tonight, definitely don those gumboots!
As for the rest of the festival: woodchips are currently being placed in the most affected areas and with sunshine forecast for the rest of the weekend, we can expect an amazing festival ahead with relatively clean shoes.
