Sydney’s Newtown Social Club are gearing up to open their doors as the latest live music venue on the scene, announcing the first round of live shows, including sets from Perch Creek Family Jugband, Ed Kuepper, Kim Churchill and a bunch more.
After a year of navigating the building process, the Social Club’s band room renovations are close to completion with the first live shows set to kick off early May. The 300 capacity room is being fitted with a world class PA and will host local, national and international touring acts up to 7 nights a week.
The room is being booked by Corner Presents who also handle programming and promotion for Newtown’s sister venue, Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club, as well as the Corner Hotel, 170 Russell and Shebeen in Melbourne.
