Nick Cave Is Streaming A Solo Piano Concert This Month

Nick Cave, like many others, was forced to cancel his 2020 tour dates due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, he’s making it up to us. Today he’s announced a special stream concert he’s titled Idiot Prayer: Nick Cave Alone at Alexandra Palace.

Nick Cave’s streamed concert is set to revisit a bunch of rare gems from his back catalogue. From his most recent release Ghosteen to special takes from his other projects The Bad Seeds and Grinderman.

It’s a special solo piano concert that was filmed last month in London. The event will be a ticketed livestream and it’ll kick off at 8pm AEST on Thursday, Thursday 23rd July.

The concert was filmed by Robbie Ryan while Nick Emerson took care of the editing.

They’re keeping the event pretty close to a real life event — it’ll begin at 8pm with no rewinds or rewatches.

If you want to get yourself psyched for the event, head here for Nick Cave’s 2019 Sydney Opera House performance.

Also, he’s still running that 24 hour ‘Bad Seeds stream over here.
