Nick Cave Set To Record New Bad Seeds Album

At Meredith over the weekend, Nick Cave announced the end of his current band project Grinderman.

“That’s it for Grinderman. It’s over. See you all in another ten years when we’ll be even older and uglier” he said to punters.

Grinderman only released two albums – Ginderman in 2007 and Grinderman 2 in 2010 – both of which were lauded as more ‘Cave genius’.

But proving that the man doesn’t ever rest, there’s rumours of a 16th album from Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds to follow up 2008’s Dig, Lazarus, Dig.

Cave is also busy working on the score for a film he’s written The Wettest Country In The World and he’s reportedly making soundtrack magic on a film version of The Threepenny Opera with Andy Serkis, known for playing (through motion capture) Gollum in the Lord of the Rings.

Whatever comes next from Nick – it’s sure to impress.
