Nine Inch Nails are set to break a three year live music drought, announcing a 40-date world tour for 2025. Unfortunately though, Australia does not seem to figure into the itinerary. At least, for now…
The industrial metal icons’ freshly announced Peel It Back World Tour will kick off in Europe this June, with a run of headlining shows and festival appearances. A North American leg will then follow from August.
Nine Inch Nails Peel It Back World Tour Announcement
It comes after Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross last year revealed a stack of exciting new projects in the works, including a new NIN album, a music festival, a TV show, a horror movie, a gaming collaboration, a clothing line and more.
“I do feel excited about starting on the next [NIN] record. I think we’re in a place now where we kind of have an idea,” Ross told GQ at the time.
While Reznor added that his recent work scoring film soundtracks has “managed to make Nine Inch Nails feel way more exciting than it had been in the past few years”.
“I’d kind of let it atrophy a bit in my mind for a variety of reasons,” he confessed.
Nine Inch Nails’ most recent release was a collection of ambient instrumental music that dropped back in 2020, Ghosts V: Together and Ghosts VI: Locusts, while their last album with lyrics was 2018’s Bad Witch LP.
Nine Inch Nails’ also haven’t visited Australia for more than a decade, since their arena co-headline tour with Queens Of The Stone Age back in 2014.
Let’s hope that changes soon. Good Things 2025 anyone?
