Not To Alarm Anyone, But Two Members Of Kyuss Are Now Playing Melbourne’s Cherry Rock

Melbourne riff-charged sweat fest Cherry Rock has just picked up a new international lineup addition for its 2017 harvest.

Godfather of Californian Desert Rock Brant Bjork has just been added to proceedings, which officially means that a mini Kyuss reunion will be going down inside local rock den Cherry Bar on the day, with fellow OG Nick Oliveri also performing with his band Dwarves.

Now, we’re not saying this means they’ll end up hitting the stage together to perform some vintage Kyuss tunes, but they’ll probably end up hitting the stage together to perform some vintage Kyuss tunes.

Oliveri did exactly that during his recent acoustic solo show at Sydney’s Frankies Pizza, teaming up with local act Sumeru to play a fully amped set of covers.

Speaking with Music Feeds recently, Bjork — who’s currently gearing up for a full Aussie tour off the back of his new solo album — also said he thought a Kyuss or Vista Chino reunion (both of which involved Oliveri) would be “absolutely possible”.

Let’s see if it — at least partially — goes down at the iconic AC/DC Lane haunt on Sunday, 7th May.

Cherry Rock 2017 also features performances by Shihad, Nashville Pussy, Totally Unicorn and more.

Oh and the official set times also just dropped. Catch all the deets below.
