Ocean Sleeper Drop Lil Lotus Collab Ahead Of Sold-Out Australian Tour

Hot on the heels of selling out all the shows on their latest Aussie headline tour, Gippsland-based trio Ocean Sleeper have just returned with a new single ‘Lonely Love’ featuring their main support act for the tour, US emo rapper Lil Lotus.

Self-produced by the band’s guitarist Ionei Heckenberg, ‘Lonely Love’ is a hook-laden cut of alternative rock that tackles melancholy themes through uplifting instrumentation.

“We like to creatively explore emotions of sadness and loneliness and express them in a positive, upbeat and fun way to sing along to,” the band explains in a press statement.

“This song is a pretty exciting change-up for us as a heavy band, with no lead scream vocals or breakdowns. In the last few releases, we have been exploring with Karl & Ionei singing cleans and doing scream vocals, so this song was fun to just do cleans but still have its big infectious energy.”

You can take Ocean Sleeper’s ‘Lonely Love’ featuring Lil Lotus for a spin up above or, if you were lucky enough to grab tickets before their tour sold out, catch them on the road from this week.
