Western Australia’s On The Bright Side Festival has been scrapped for this year following a statement released on the festival’s Facebook page this evening.
The festival is Perth’s offshoot of Splendour in the Grass and is presented by Splendour organisers Secret Sounds. Last year’s lineup featured Splendour acts such as Pulp, The Hives and James Blake.
‘Conflicting artist schedules’ has been listed as the reason for not going ahead with the festival; however, organisers are planning to bring On The Bright Side back in 2013.
“Due to conflicting artist schedules we have decided to give On The Bright Side a miss for 2012.”
“We only want to deliver On The Bright Side to you as an event of the highest possible quality and we hope to see you with another cracker in 2013!”
