Reports have emerged that One Direction‘s Harry Styles will play The Rolling Stones‘ frontman Mick Jagger in a new biopic about the band.
As NME reports, the film has a working title of Exile On Main Street: A Season In Hell With The Rolling Stones, based on a book of the same name by author Rob Greenfield.
The film will follow the band while they were making Exile On Main Street which was probably far more debaucherous than One Direction’s antics while they were making any of their clean-cut albums.
The film is being directed by Downton Abbey director Andy Goddard while Brandon and Philip Murphy are writing the screenplay.
Styles is currently working on war drama Dunkirk, and he was suggested as a possible candidate for the Jagger role after someone spotted the likeness between the two.
It’s yet to be confirmed whether he will actually appear in the film, but you can’t deny the two look alike.
If it is to happen, Styles would surely get Jagger’s stamp of approval.
“I like him. He’s very decent,” Jagger said about Styles in an interview with The Daily Mail, also saying that he believes Styles has a similar swagger to him.
