OneFour Have Now Been Forced To Cancel Their Sydney Show Next Month

This month, Western Sydney drill rap collective OneFour were supposed to be on their first national headline tour across the country, performing in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Perth.

However, last week both the Melbourne and Adelaide dates were cancelled at the last minute, with the group citing that pressure from NSW Police caused the venues to cancel the performances.

Now, the group’s Sydney show, which was scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 10th December at the Enmore Theatre, has been cancelled as well.

“Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, this event has been cancelled. All patrons will be contacted related to refunds,” wrote the Enmore Theatre this morning.

“Live Nation, Onefour and we at The Enmore Theatre apologise for any inconvenience caused.”

Taking to Instagram yesterday, OneFour vented their frustrations about the string of cancellations over the past week.

“There’s a bigger issue for us,” the collective wrote.

“This continues a pattern of concert cancellations which deny us a platform to perform and single out our fan base. To be clear there has been no incident at any of our live concerts and why the band would want or allow that to change for our fans does not make any sense.

“Right now our management are trying to sit down with NSW Police to sort this out. Don’t lash out online or elsewhere as it plays into the hands of those that would vilify us. But do continue to listen to us online because many of those platforms still believe in the right of expression and free speech.”
