The post-hardcore outfit, who will be making their Australian debut as part of Soundwave 2014, recently shed the shackles of a major label contract to continue life as an independent act. Without the red tape to cut, the band has been able to get shit done at a rapid rate, releasing the track and its official music video just a week after the thing was filmed.
For the video feature, the band have departed from their longstanding habit of releasing performance clips, instead trying their hand at an epic which looks like it had a fairly decent production budget behind it. Same Old War marks the first original offering from the band off the back of a covers series dubbed Summer Of Covers which featured reworks of Justin Timberlake, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Adele and more.
Oak Island is set to be released internationally Tuesday, 5th November off the back of a widely successful crowdsourcing campaign.
