Ozzy Osbourne is recovering in hospital after copping two different infections in his hand and undergoing surgery.
The Prince Of Darkness’s wife Sharon has spilled the gnarly details of her husband’s ailments, which have forced him to cancel three tour dates in the US.
“He just left it and then he hit it on a door and it started to get bigger and bigger and then his middle finger, the same thing happened and his hand was probably this thick,” Sharon told American chat show The Talk, indicating girth of about a dozen centimetres.
Then, once at the hospital, they discovered that the cut on the side of Ozzy’s nail “had turned into two different infections in his hand”.
“He had to have this operation where they cut the side of his thumb and his finger and they had to get rid of the infection,” Sharon continued.
“He’s still in hospital today. It’s unbelievable. He’s on antibiotic drips – two different kinds – and he is just stuck there eating ice-cream.”
Ozzy has since updated fans on his condition himself, taking to social media to post a snap from his hospital bed.
“I cant wait to get out of here tomorrow, thank you to all of the wonderful Doctors and Nurses taking care of me,” he writes.
Ozzy’s No More Tours 2 tour of the US will resume again in Las Vegas on October 13th, which means he should be fit as a fiddle for his headlining gig at Australia’s Download Festival by the time March rolls around.
