Ozzy Osbourne has speculated that worshipping the devil could be the key to Covid-evasion.
The 72 year old Prince of Darkness has so far avoided contracting Covid-19, despite the disease doing the rounds of his immediate family.
“My wife had the virus, my daughter had the virus and I never got it,” Osbourne told Metal Hammer. “Being a devil worshipper does have its good points.”
The former Black Sabbath frontperson isn’t flaunting a clean bill of health, mind you. In January 2020, Ozzy and his wife Sharon appeared on the US TV show, Good Morning America, to break the news of Ozzy’s recent Parkinson’s diagnosis.
“It’s Parkin two, which is a form of Parkinson’s,” Sharon told host, Robin Roberts. “It’s not a death sentence by any stretch of the imagination, but it does affect certain nerves in your body.”
Osbourne suffered a bad fall in early 2019, which caused sufficient enough damage for him to believe he was dying. He survived but needed surgery, which left him in all sorts of bother.
“I’m on a host of medication, mainly for the surgery,” Ozzy said on Good Morning America. “I’ve got numbness down this arm and my legs are going cold. I don’t know if it’s the Parkinson’s or what.”
He provided an update of his condition to Metal Hammer, and things haven’t improved a great deal. “Looks like I’m in for more surgery,” he said. “I’m in physical therapy right now.”
In better news, Ozzy is making progress on his previously-announced follow-up to 2020’s, Ordinary Man. “It’s going to be similar in tone to Ordinary Man,” he told Metal Hammer, “but I can’t describe it completely. I’ve not heard it for a while because it keeps going over to the next person to add their parts—we’re fucking around with it all the time.”
