Ozzy Osbourne has ruled out a Black Sabbath reunion. He’s said a reunion is not for him and he doesn’t have the slightest bit of interest.
Chatting to the Black Sabbath frontman, Rolling Stone said Tony Iommi had said he’d be keen for the band to play live again someday.
“Not for me. It’s done,” said Ozzy Osbourne.
“The only thing I do regret is not doing the last farewell show in Birmingham with [drummer] Bill Ward,” he said.
Bill Ward and Ozzy Osbourne had a public spat and Ward didn’t perform in those final shows.
“I felt really bad about that. It would have been so nice. I don’t know what the circumstances behind it were, but it would have been nice.
“I’ve talked to him a few times, but I don’t have any of the slightest interest in [doing another gig]. Maybe Tony’s getting bored now,” he said.
The band’s last shows were back in 2017.
On retirement, Ozzy Osbourne says, “Retire from what? It’s not a job.”
“How can you retire from a rock band? It’s like saying, don’t plug in your amp. I don’t know anything else. I’ll retire when they put the fucking nail in the lid.”
We recently received news that Ozzy had began working on a new album. Despite battling Parkinson’s disease, the vocalist is recording another solo album with Ordinary Man producer, Andrew Watt.
