Papa Roach Frontman Has Vocal Problems And Is “Pretty Bummed Out”

Papa Roach‘s lead singer Jacoby Shaddix has a node forming on his vocal chord which is threatening to de-rail the group’s upcoming recording and touring plans.

Metaltalk reports Shaddix revealed his vocal issues in an interview at a recent concert in Philadelphia.

“I went to a vocal specialist. I have what’s called a node that’s forming on my vocal cord, so it’s like a callus on my vocal cord, and so it’s fucking with my top range of my vocals for the last week, so I’ve actually been pretty bummed out,” he said.

“I took some steroids, and that’ll help the swelling and hopefully that’ll help it go away. But if it doesn’t get better, it’s one of those things where you have to get surgery and do the whole thing.”

Papa Roach have been busy finishing off their new album The Connection, which is due out on October 2.  The first single to come from it is called Still Swinging – which will be released July 24.
