Passenger Announces Largest Ever Australian Tour April 2012

Singer/songwriter Passenger (Mike Rosenberg) has announced his most inclusive tour of Australia to date, beginning in April 2012. The tour will come hot off the heels of his soon to be released album All The Little Lights which is due out in Australia on February 24 through Inertia.

Rosenberg said his latest record will be a departure from all previous efforts and his most accomplished work to date.

“It’s very different to (latest record) Flight Of The Crow… actually all of my records,” Rosenberg said.

“This one is a bigger production and a bit more modern sounding,” he said.

As for the recording of All The Little Lights, Rosenberg chose Linear Studios which has housed Australian artists such as Josh Pyke and Empire Of The Sun. The record also possesses a creditable backing band with the likes of Declan Kelley and Stu Hunter from Katie Noonan And The Captains as well as Tim Hart of Boy & Bear.

It’s been a rapid ride for Passenger since first visiting Australia in 2009; and after supporting Australian heavyweights such as Angus & Julia StoneJohn Butler Trio and Boy & Bear Rosenberg is set to take center stage.
