One of Melbourne’s most cherished community radio stations, PBS 106.7 FM have announced the first round of acts set to play their annual PBS Drive Live 2014, which kicks off Monday, 3rd February, featuring Courtney Barnett, Hiatus Kaiyote, The Murlocs, D.D Dumbo, and more.
It works like this: three acts will take over three studios during one drive-time show, for a full working week. All music lovers are welcome to come down to PBS HQ and check out the performances, with PBS Members receiving priority. There’ll even be some freebies from Coopers to guzzle.
Making their way to HQ for Drive Live 2014 will be the talented young Courtney Barnett, the Grammy-nominated Hiatus Kaiyote, powerhouse blues-rockers The Murlocs, Melbourne industrial synth outfit Forces, Meredith debutant D.D Dumbo, local punks Bad Vision, and The Stevens.
A permanent fixture on the PBS calendar and fast turning into a local institution, you don’t want to miss PBS Drive Live. There’s still more acts to be announced, so keep an eye on the PBS website for info about how you can be in the Drive Live audience this February and track #drivelive.
UPDATE 19/01/14: Following last week’s announcement that Courtney Barnett, The Murlocs and many more epic local acts will soon be streaming from PBS HQ as part of their annual Drive Live event, the good folks at PBS 106.7 FM have announced the rest of their 2014 lineup.
Joining this worthy roster will be Miles Brown, White Hex, School of Radiant Living, The Harpoons, Harry Howard and the NDE, Cherrywood, Wonderboy and Sugar Fed Leopards. You can now RSVP by heading over to the official PBS website to get your name on the door.
