Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder expressed the band’s commitment to meaningful music via a press release, stating, “We’re still looking for ways to communicate…we still care about putting something out there that is meaningful and we hopefully think is our best work.” Bassist Jeff Ament echoed this sentiment, praising Watt’s influence and the band’s collective effort in creating what they consider to be a significant record.
Jeff Ament also shared, “What Ed said about getting us in a room at this point, we felt like we were about to make a really important record. A lot of that had to do with the atmosphere Andrew set up…His excitement was contagious.” He also expressed gratitude for the band’s journey and the support of their fans.
Dark Matter is on pre-sale now via their official website and promises to be a compelling addition to Pearl Jam’s illustrious discography, with fans eagerly awaiting its release and the opportunity to experience the band’s latest musical evolution.
