Peking Duk Release New Single ‘Honest’ Feat. Slayyyter

Peking Duk’s first single of the new year is out now. It’s called ‘Honest’ and it features lead vocals from St. Louis-born pop artist Slayyyter.

Peking Duk are yet to release a full length album. The duo’s most recent EP was 2018’s Reprisal, which has been certified 5x Platinum in Australia. The last few years have given rise to plenty of singles, however, including 2019’s ‘Sugar’ feat. Jack River and the duo’s 2020 collaboration with The Wombats, ‘Nothing to Love About Love’.

The band’s previous single, ‘Chemicals’, landed at #42 in triple j’s Hottest 100 of 2021. Towards the end of 2021, Peking Duk’s Adam Hyde released his debut EP under the pseudonym Keli Holiday. Hyde’s songwriting on the EP – which is titled December – embraces traditional pop structure and more moderate dynamic shifts than what we’re used to from PD.

The LA based Slayyyter released her debut album, Troubled Paradise, in June 2021. Slayyyter is perhaps best known for the singles ‘Mine’ and ‘Daddy AF’, both of which appeared on the artist’s debut self-titled mixtape from 2019.

Peking Duk recently joined the likes of The Jungle Giants, Vera Blue and The Veronicas at the Grapevine Gathering music festival at Rochford Wines in Victoria’s Yarra Valley. Listen to ‘Honest’ below.
