Pete Doherty has been questioned by France’s national railway company, SNCF, over a missing (and presumed stolen) trolley from one of its trains.
NME reports that the packed-out trolley contained staff uniforms and the more typical trolley items of cold meats and cutlery.
Doherty took to his blog to explain the situation, saying he was unable to take the train to go and see Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds in the French city of Toulouse that night due to the investigations.
“The train is out of the question. I am currently in discussion with SNCF regarding my accountability for a missing trolley-load of staff uniforms (gaberdine wool mind you), cold meats, cutlery.”
Doherty then asked if any of his fans could loan him a car so that he and his friend could drive to the gig from Paris, where Doherty is currently living. There’s no news yet on whether anyone gave him a set of wheels and if he made the show.
The incident comes in the wake of Doherty cancelling a run of Scottish shows last month.
