It seems Pete Evans’s goose is nearing fully cooked status with Spotify now axing the controversial chef’s podcast for spruiking false information about COVID-19.
“Looks like my podcast channel has been removed from this company,” the conspiracy peddler posted on Instagram (which, mind you, is one of the only sites from which he has not yet been turfed) in response to being booted off the platform.
“Could it have something to do with the many brave doctors and scientists that we interview, that are warning people about these poisons that’s disguised as medicine?”
But Spotify has responded with a big nah mate, instead calling bullshit on Evans’s tinfoil hat baloney in a statement to The Guardian.
“Spotify prohibits content on the platform which promotes dangerous false, deceptive, or misleading content about COVID-19 that may cause offline harm and/or pose a direct threat to public health,” the company said.
“When content that violates this standard is identified it is removed from the platform.”
Sadly, Evans’ podcast is still available on other platforms.
However a bunch of major brands including – but not limited to – David Jones, Dymocks, Pan Macmillan, HOUSE and Woolworths have axed ties with him after he posted Neo-Nazi content on Facebook.
FYI Facebook itself has also given him the boot.
