Philadelphia Grand Jury Are Touring To Fund A New Album

After a one-off show at BIGSOUND 2013, Simon Berkfinger, Dan W Sweat and MC Bad Genius are reuniting and hitting the road for a tour proper, back under that legendary moniker Philadelphia Grand Jury.

Late last year Simon Berkfinger, Dan W Sweat and MC Bad Genius reunited and toured the country as Feelings. While the Feelings tour was in celebration of the release of Berkfinger’s debut solo album, this time the boys will be hitting the touring circuit to raise the funds necessary to record the long-awaited follow-up album to their 2009 debut Hope Is For Hopers, presently given the tentative title Ulterior Motif.

The short stint will see Philadelphia Grand Jury kick things off at Melbourne’s Ding Dong Lounge on Saturday, 8th November before moving on to a free show at Bondi’s Beach Road Hotel, followed by a stop in Newcastle and rounding things off in Brisbane.

According to the band, just days after the final show of this tour they will be packing as many instruments as they can fit into their luggage and flying to Berkfinger’s Golden Retriever Studios in Berlin to record their next album.

Philly J fans can revel in the fact that their money will be put to very good use. Tickets to the shows are on sale now.
