Former Pantera vocalist Philip H. Anselmo and his band The Illegals have announced a series of Australian tour dates with Melbourne grindcore crew King Parrot and two other bands as part of the 2019 edition of the ‘Thrash Blast Grind’ tour.
After teasing their Aussie tour plans last month, Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals have now confirmed they will tour down under in March 2019, taking ‘Thrash Blast Grind’ to Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and Newcastle.
Anselmo will be performing hits from his career with Pantera, as well as cuts from his latest solo albums Choosing Mental Illness as a Virtue and Walk Through Exits Only.
“I’m looking forward to getting back over to Australia and soaking up the killer vibes,” says Anselmo.
“Touring with King Parrot on their turf is an honour… Let the absurdities commence.”
Japanese hardcore-metal crossover act Palm will also take part in the ‘Thrash Blast Grind’ tour, as will Sydney doom act Potion. One local act will also be selected to perform in each city along the tour.
