Plan B – New Film And New Record ‘iLL Manors’ In 2012

The ever versatile Plan B is set to release a new film and a new record both under the title of iLL Manors in May, 2012.

According to Clash the film will come out on May 4, 2012, closely followed by the record on May 7. Although both the film and album share the same title, iLL Manors, the record is not the film’s soundtrack.

When speaking about iLL Manors (the album) Plan B said, “You could call iLL Manors bass-line, soul, hip-hop. The album has the lyrical depth of my first record but the musical composition is light years ahead as it’s informed by everything I’ve learnt in the last five years – writing, producing and playing with a live band. I feel I’m better than I’ve ever been.”

The metamorphosis of Plan B between his debut record Who Needs Actions When You Got Words and The Defamation of Strickland Banks was astounding and those lucky enough to have caught his Motown Mash Up at live gigs know that Plan B is creatively capable of anything.
