Plan B could be heading back to Australia in September, according to triple j presenter Samantha Clode. After interviewing the UK rapper earlier tonight, Clode took to Twitter to reveal her scoop (below).
Plan B, real name Ben Drew, first emerged from the UK hip hop scene in 2006, releasing his successful debut album Who Needs Actions When You Got Words. He has also starred as an actor in a number of films, including Adulthood (2008), Harry Brown (2009) and 4.3.2.1 (2010). In an interview last year, the rapper admitted to selling drugs before he was famous.
“I did something illegal because I was on the dole. I didn’t sell hard drugs. I just sold spliff and I feel the same way about that as I did then. I think a bit of weed is fine and it is no different to alcohol”, he said.
Dialled up Plan B tonight to talk all things “Ill Manors” for @triplejmag. Could he be in Oz come Sept? Maybe…
