As if 2020’s Field Day lineup wasn’t already big enough, today the festival has announced that they’re adding not one, but two more acts to the stacked New Years kick on.
First up is Playboi Carti. The now 22 year-old rapper started out over 10 years ago, adopting his Playboi Carter moniker at the ripe old age of 15. With hits such as ‘Magnolia’ and ‘wokeuplikethis*’, he’s taken the world by storm and is sure to tear up the stage at this year’s Field Day.
Also joining the lineup are Californian hip-hop collective Shoreline Mafia. They put out their first full-length mixtape, ShoreLineDoThatShit, back in 2017 and the record copped a re-release in 2018 when they signed with Atlantic Records. More than just a rap group, they’re a family. This will be their first time in Australia.
Playboi Carti was set to perform his postponed tour dates in Australia earlier in the year, but cancelled the day the tour was set to begin due to exhaustion.
Playboi Carti and Shoreline Mafia will join an already stacked lineup, featuring Tyler, The Creator, Disclosure, Skepta, RL Grime and more.
