As you may or may not be aware, Green Day drummer Tré Cool also moonlights as the frontman of an Icelandic death metal band who call themselves Dead Mermaids.
And his unexpected side-hustle have just hit us with a brand new EP entitled You’re Welcome, which features five delightful ditties with titles such as ‘Kill Eat Shit Repeat’ and ‘My Fish’.
If you need to brush up, Cool helped found Dead Mermaids back in 2014 and performs drums and lead vocals simultaneously for the band under the alias “Bjorn Roarkson”.
His bandmates are lead guitarist Magnus “The Halibut” Magnusson, bassist Grimur “The Silver Fish” Grimsson and back up vocalist Njall “The Wolf” Njalsson.
