Sydney songwriter Pluto Jonze will give punters a taste of his forthcoming EP when he performs at the Beresford Upstairs in Sydney on Friday night.
Pluto’s self-titled EP is due for release on May 6 through Stop Start, and features his first single Meet You Under Neon – which was sent to Australian media this week.
The EP was produced By Pluto alongside Tony Espie (The Avalanches, Cut Copy, The Holidays, Midnight Juggernauts).
Stop Start label head Andy Bryan said Pluto’s songs have a very ‘fresh’ and ‘instant’ appeal.
“The crew at Stop Start have been excited with the prospect of working with Pluto Jonze since we first heard his demos,” he said.
“We are very proud of this debut EP, it’s a great taste of what’s to come and clearly highlights Pluto’s talent and potential.”
Pluto Jonze is on stage at 9.30pm, and is supported by Polographia and Elizabeth Rose. Doors open at 5pm.
