Police Search Gene Simmons’ House As Part Of Child Pornography Investigation

Rockstar Gene Simmons’ house has been raided by police as part of an investigation into child pornography. But the KISS bassist and his family are not considered suspects.

A special Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force from the Los Angeles Police Department executed a search warrant on The Demon’s Benedict Canyon home on Thursday, in relation to an incident that may have occurred there last year, while he was away touring with KISS.

Lt. John Jenal of the LAPD told US media: “No members of the Simmons family are suspects in the case and were extremely cooperative”.

While Simmons’ wife, Shannon Tweed Simmons, took to Twitter to report the family’s shock.

“We couldn’t be more horrified that someone used our residence for such heinous crimes,” she tweeted. “Law enforcement is on it.”

Neither the Simmons family nor police have provided any further details about the alleged crime, and the rocker’s publicist, Cheyanne Baker, has issued a statement on the rocker’s website revealing that the Simmonses have been asked not to discuss the details publicly.

Police say their investigation is ongoing.

Meanwhile, Simmons will be coming to Australia this October as part of KISS’s epic 40th Anniversary Tour.
