Port Fairy Folk Music Festival 2012 Line-Up – Second Announcement

The second round of artists for the 2012 Port Fairy Folk Music Festival has been revealed this morning. Next year’s festival will see the Festival celebrate 35 years delivering world class music to the masses.

New artists include: Adam Cohen, who is out here on his first Australian tour; John Butler, who will be doing his rare fabulous solo shows; Chris Hillman of The Byrds and The Flying Burrito Brothers and who is credited as a founder of the Country Rock genre; the amazing Krystle Warren, who will return after sensational appearances on her recent brief visit; and The Battlefield Band return with the sounds of Scotland.

They will join the artists from the first announcement, which includes a wide range of acts from Finland, Sweden, Canada, UK, USA, French-Algeria … and of course within Australia. With over 20 international and many national acts set for its 35th year celebration in 2012, the program pays homage to the best in folk, country, blues, jazz, bluegrass, acoustic rock and world roots with plenty more to be announced.
