Central Coast singer-songwriter Daniel Lee Kendall has officially revealed the hazy and kaleidoscopic music video for recent single Under A Spell, and it’s premiering right here on Music Feeds.
Taken from Kendall’s forthcoming debut album Daniel Lee Kendall Is Dead, Under A Spell‘s soulful trip pop tones are now being mirrored by some equally hypnotic visuals.
The tune’s boy-meets-girl tale, delivered via Kendall’s gentle vocals, here gets some natural landscape scenery and kaleidoscopic video effects as a visual complement. Kendall must be something of a renaissance man, because there’s also plenty of bushwalking, boat-rowing and book-reading to enhance the vibe.
Kendall has previously noted that the chords and melodies within Under A Spell, a recent triple j addition, were later topped with a subconscious stream of lyrics, making the song something of “an experiment”.
Under A Spell is available digitally. Daniel Lee Kendall Is Dead is set for release on Friday, 12th September via Create/Control.
