As they put the final touches on their forthcoming EP, South Oz duo Nakatomi have gifted us with yet another offering to totally lose ourselves in – Wild Romance. The track is the 2nd single given life ahead of the release which, at this stage, is shaping up to be just about the strongest thing ever.
Wild Romance begins with a razor sharp vocal, penetrating through the beat with a clear and concise message before even that seems to lose itself in the cascading chorus. The gentle digital bloom that swells in the background of the track punches through, flowering into a bouquet of glitches, bleeps and pops.
Already, you may have been fortunate enough to hear previous single Alive, which ushered in the impending body of work from members Emily Smart and Hamish Cox. Already in their short career they’ve shared stages with the likes of Peking Duk, Miami Horror and Tigertown, no doubt gaining some serious experience via osmosis.
Now, the pair continue to grow, with a confirmed performance at the upcoming Futuresounds festival in Radelaide.
