With a slew of shows alongside the likes of Kingswood, The Delta Riggs, Stonefield and White Lung, Brissie noisemakers WAAX are gearing up to make themselves known as a force to be reckoned with, with an upcoming headline tour and a brand new video for recent single I For An Eye, which Music Feeds is thrilled to premiere for you right here.
Fronted by the “utterly-terrifying” Marie DeVita, punk-injected rock outfit WAAX are gearing up for their debut EP after forming a couple of years ago and having since earned some rave reviews from the likes of Triple J and anyone who has caught one of their numerous, energetic live sets.
I For An Eye is the first single of what the four-piece are calling WAAX 2.0 and the video sees DeVita going absolutely apeshit on a suburban Brisbane house (filmed at drummer Tom’s Mums house) and fashioning one hell of an intimidating mirror-mask, which Marie tells us wasn’t the most fun to wear on set with a slip causing one of the masks’s horns to rip a hole through a couple of layers of clothing and end up cutting straight into her butt, requiring some post-shoot stitches. Ouch.
Check out the manic clip right here and grab all the deets for their upcoming tour below!
