If you’re feeling a bit filthy that the recently reunited Smashing Pumpkins still haven’t announced any Aussie tour dates, well, we’ve got something to tide you over until that (hopefully) happens.
Frontman Billy Corgan has announced that the band will be live-streaming their huge Seattle show via Twitter as part of Live Nation’s Concert series.
The event kicks off from 1.15pm AEST today and you can stream it live right here.
ICYMI: the Pumpkins’ current Shiny And Oh So Bright North American reunion tour is their first in nearly two decades to feature OG members Corgan, James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin.
However, bassist Darcy Wretzky, who played in the group from 1988 to 1999, has been notably MIA from proceedings, with Corgan recently vowing that the band would never reunite with her following their very ugly public spat.
The Pumpkins’ current lineup also features longtime guitarist Jeff Schroeder, bassist Jack Bates and keyboardist Katie Cole.
The reunited trio released their first new song together, ‘Solara’, back in June. It’s set to feature on a pair of Rick Rubin-produced EP’s, but the band has yet to slip us any info on release dates or track listings.
Today’s live stream comes after Corgan & co wrapped up their huge 30th anniversary show with a bunch of special guests, including the frontman’s ex lover and nemesis, Courtney Love.
