It’s all winding down now at the notorious home of late night debauchery that is The Abercrombie Hotel, and our good friends at Boundary Sounds are seeing the place off with a massive Purple Sneakers this Friday night. This is what they had to say:
This week we will be paying a sad farewell to the Abercrombie Hotel and all the sticky memories that those hallowed carpets hold. The venue that will always be remembered for its dark corner pashes, sweat packed dancefloors, copious tequila shots and sin coated couches is to close its doors. It’s the birthplace of Purple Sneakers and we want you there with us to remember the awesome party times and to celebrate the new beginnings for Purple Sneakers!
To celebrate the closure of the Abercrombie we’ve put together a special line-up of our best mates. Duelling it out on the decks for your party pleasure we have KATO vs MYSTIC JAGUAR, SLEATER BROCKMAN vs MAGIC HAPPENS, The Chaser’s CHRIS TAYLOR vs acclaimed actor DAMON HERRIMAN, and Channel V’s own JANE GAZZO. They’ll be joined by Sneakers regulars MUSH vs SEABAS and ERECTRO vs KILL THE LANDLORD, PSDJ NICK FINDLAY vs former PSDJ THE FLAMING HIPS, and an extra special 2+ hour closing set from your PSDJ party kings M.I.T vs BENLUCID vs PhDJ
We’ll be starting this special party extra early at 6PM in order for everyone to head down early and say goodbye to our friend one last time.
