Queens of the Stone Age will bring their ‘The End Is Nero’ tour to Australia in February 2024. Josh Homme and co. will play headline shows in Perth, Adelaide, Hobart (for Mona Foma), Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in the course of a two-week span. They’ll be supported along the way by Pond and Gut Health.

Queens of the Stone Age will also headline two Lookout festival events while in the country. They’ll be joined at Torquay Common and Gold Coast’s Broadwater Parklands by The Chats, Spiderbait, Pond, Gut Health and Lola Scott. Full tour details can be found below.
Queens of the Stone Age – ‘Negative Space’
The current Queens of the Stone Age lineup consists of vocalist, guitarist and primary songwriter Josh Homme, guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen, bass player Michael Shuman, keys player Dean Fertita and drummer Jon Theodore. The band released its eighth studio LP, In Times New Roman…, in June 2023.
Queens last toured Australia in 2018 in support of the previous year’s Villains. Since that time, Homme has been involved in a bitter and very public custody battle with his ex-wife and Distillers frontperson Brody Dalle. He grieved the deaths of close friends Taylor Hawkins, former bandmate Mark Lanegan and actor Rio Hackford. And, in 2022, Homme was diagnosed with cancer but had surgery to remove it.
“Cancer is just the cherry on top of an interesting time period, you know?” Homme told Revolver magazine earlier this year. “I’m extremely thankful that I’ll get through this, and I’ll look back at this as something that’s fucked up — but will have made me better. I’m cool with that. There’s a lot of stuff I want to do. And there’s a lot of people I want to do that with.”
