Rage Against The Machine Confirm North American Reunion Tour Dates

Rage Against The Machine’s “Public Service Announcement” Tour will kick off in July 2022. The tour has undergone numerous postponements over the last couple of years.

The band’s first tour in more than ten years will continue into August 2022 before picking up again in February, March and April, 2023.

The North American tour was originally planned for 2020 and then moved to 2021. It was pushed back to March 2022 before being rescheduled for July. As originally announced, Run the Jewels will support RATM on the run of reunion dates.

Although RATM haven’t been able to tour, they haven’t been keeping their mouths shut. The band expressed outrage at the acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse last November. Rittenhouse was acquitted after shooting dead two men (and injuring another) at a Black Lives Matter protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in August 2020.

“Kyle Rittenhouse armed himself and killed people who were fighting for racial justice,” wrote RATM at the time. “He claimed self-defense. This is the settler logic of America’s founding myth: whiteness must cast itself as the victim in order to justify its violence against those resisting its oppression. Welcome to the Land of the Free, Home of the Brave.”

In August 2021, the band spoke out against US military intervention in Afghanistan. “The war in Afghanistan has always been thought of as the ‘good war’ while the invasion of Iraq was seen as a ‘mistake’,” the band wrote on Facebook. “Both imperial wars were nothing but vile and racist.

“20 years later, the longest war in US history has led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Afghans and displaced 5.3 million more, causing untold trauma and grief.”

We expect to hear plenty more political analysis on the upcoming tour. Find the complete list of tour dates below.
