Prodigy fans heartbroken over the news of frontman Keith Flint’s shocking suicide overnight will be able to celebrate his incredible musical legacy this weekend, thanks to rage.
The beloved music program has announced plans to air an impromptu Prodigy special in honour of the late electronic music legend.
From 12.25am Friday night/Saturday morning, the ABC will crack open the vault to re-screen both of Flint’s historic hosting sessions from the big red couch, alongside as many old clips of The Prodigy that they can get their mits on.
It means a whole new generation of fans will be traumatised by the bonkers ‘Firestarter’ music video all over again.
Flint was found dead in his home in Essex yesterday at the age of 49. Bandmate Liam Howlett has since confirmed his death was the result of suicide, saying he feels “shell shocked , fuckin angry , confused and heart broken”.
Meanwhile, tributes have been pouring in across the music world from the likes of Foo Fighters, Chemical Brothers, James Blunt and more.
RIP.
