Get ready to ~break stuff~, because Rage is rollin’ with a playlist of 100 per cent pure, grain-fed nu-metal for a special episode airing tonight.
The beloved ABC series is transporting us back to a time when extra-baggy pants, cornrows, red-caps-to-the-back and six-string bass guitars tuned lower than satan’s bollocks dominated the musical zeitgeist, AKA the early 2000s (which was also probably also the last time that guitar music truly ruled the world #RIP).
Cracking open The VAULT, Rage will be spinning a playlist of wall-to-wall nu-metal bangers including some of the most slap-poppin’ tracks from rumoured Download Australia festival headliners Korn and Limp Bizkit, plus Deftones, Mudvayne, Slipknot, Static-X, System of a Down, Drowning Pool, Rage Against The Machine (for some reason) and more, so you can mosh like it’s the 2000 Big Day Out all over again.
The episode kicks off at approximately 2:07am this evening (or tomorrow morning, depending on your lifestyle choices), and Rage have even gone ahead and given us a sneak peek at the playlist (you’ll be more psyched than the time you got a $40 Sanity voucher for your birthday to learn that Limp Bizkit’s ‘Nookie’ is on there).
Give it a gander below, then grababrushandputonalittlemakeup and get ready to let the bodies hit the floor.
