Rammstein Reckon Their Next Album Might Be “The Last Record We Do”

Rammstein have suggested that their next album may be the last one ever for the band.

The German band haven’t released an album since 2009’s Liebe Ist Für Alle Da and last time they gave an update it sounded like the follow-up was a while away.

Now it seems that they’re working on the final Rammstein record ever if comments by guitarist Richard Kruspe are to be believed.

Speaking to Resurrection Fest (via Blabbermouth) during a festival in Spain, Kruspe said that he was “skeptical” about going back in the studio with the band.

“Last time we almost broke up because of making a record,” he said.

Despite that, they jumped back into the studio together with a plan to just make “maybe five songs” without any pressure.

They have now been working on new music for about two years and it feels “very natural”.

“Somehow we managed to move back to the beginning of the world of Rammstein where we, basically, are very emotional and very enthusiastic about writing again,” he said.

Even though the band seem to be getting along swimmingly now, Kruspe has a feeling that this will be the final one.

“I just feel like, for some reason, that it’s gonna be the last record we do,” he said.

“That’s a feeling — I can be wrong, but just at the moment, I feel like this is maybe the last [shot at making an album] we have, and I wanna give two hundred percent in that and make it as good as it can be.”

He reckons that the band will start properly recording the album next year and if it’s going to be the last one, fans are going to expect something great.
