MC, Wu-Tang Clan affiliate and poor, poor dude Christ Bearer has revealed that drug use and a tense family situation were among the factors which led him to sever his own penis and jump from a balcony, putting him in hospital in a critical condition last month.
It was reported late April that the rapper, real name Andre Johnson, was found in a critical state on the pavement outside a North Hollywood home, after apparently cutting off his penis and jumping from a second storey balcony.
Christ Bearer has now told TMZ that thoughts of his family were running through his mind before making the alarming decision, claiming that the month prior had been a “rough one” and he was feeling “super alone”.
The rapper, part of the West Coast Wu-Tang Killa Beez outfit, says he was unable to see his two daughters “because of restraining orders”, and that a third child on the way was contributing to his anxiety. On the evening in question, he “started to smoke weed and read a book about monks and vasectomies” before making the decision which ultimately saw him wind up in hospital.
Despite marijuana being the only drug mentioned in TMZ‘s report, a few days after initial reports E! News claimed that the drug PCP may have been involved in the incident.
It’s not all bad news, though. Plastic surgeons were able to reattach the severed genitalia, though the rapper may never be able to have kids.
When asked about his future associations with Wu-Tang Clan, C.B. was quick to respond “I am the f***ing Wu Tang.” De facto Wu-Tang leader RZA, who last month called the incident “sad”, may have something to say about that.
