Rappers Tour In Support of Government Campaign

Three of Australia’s most promising emerging hip hop stars are banding together for a national tour this May.

Pez, Maya Jupiter and 360 are teaming up for the Change It For The Better tour, presented by The Line, an anti-violence, pro-respect initiative launched by the government at the 2010 Apra Song Summit. The campaign is aimed at raising awareness of violence against women.

Melbourne rapper Pez, perhaps best known for his anthem Festival Song, said, “The Line is about respectful relationships. Positive relationships – that’s what I want to be about in my daily life, and also the music I am making.”

Pez will release new track The Shine in support of The Line.

Fresh from her tour with acclaimed soul singer Aloe Blacc, Maya Jupiter’s new single Phenomenal is from her just-released self-titled new album, and perfectly captures The Line’s message of respect “I want to be a part of the movement that promotes a culture of respectful relationships. No woman should live in fear, that’s why I support The Line.”
