Rare Jeff Buckley Recordings Coming To Streaming Services For The 25th Anniversary of ‘Grace’

A number of Jeff Buckley rarities will be coming to streaming and download services on Friday, 23rd August via Columbia/Legacy in honour of the 25th anniversary of the late artist’s sole completed studio album, Grace.

Four rare live concert albums will be arriving for the first time, as well as expanded editions of Grace, Sketches for My Sweetheart the Drunk and live album Mystery White Boy including bonus tracks and newly available material.

The huge expansion of digital titles includes the first ever official release of one of Buckley’s final demos, ‘Sky Blue Skin’, recorded at his final 1996 studio session.

The concert albums that are set to be released are four complete live sets. In addition to Live at Wetlands, New York, NY 8/16/94Live From Seattle, WA, 5/7/95, and Cabaret Metro, Chicago, IL, 5/13/95, Buckley’s Live At Columbia Records Radio Hour, a special full-band show from 1995 in New York, will also be released for the first time in its entirety.

“The music industry has made a couple of sea changes since Jeff departed the planet. I don’t know if he foresaw even a glimpse of the current state of affairs,” says Buckley’s mother Mary Guibert about the expansions.

“Since all we have of his true remains is what’s in ‘the vault’, I’m thrilled that we can finally fling open the doors of that vault and make as much as possible available to Jeff’s fans: the old ones and the new ones, and the ones who have not yet been born.”
