Red Hot Chili Peppers Share Completely Insane New Video For ‘Go Robot’

Red Hot Chili Peppers making weird and wacky video clips is nothing new, but they’ve really taken things to the next level in the official music vid for Go Robot, the latest single from their 2016 album The Getaway.

The clip follows the plight of frontman Anthony Kiedis, who takes on the role of the robot – covered in white paint from head to toe and dressed only in gloves, a codpiece, shoes and a white top hat.

On his adventures, he tries to interact with humans; buying a pizza from Josh Klinghoffer, purchasing a hat from Flea, and finally makes his way into a disco club to meet his female counterpart.

The clip, which was directed by Tota Lee, was “inspired by and recreates classic scenes from Saturday Night Fever and features the exact same locations uses in the film”, as Pitchfork reports.

It’s the second clip featuring semi-naked members of the band to be released this year, after the Chilis shared the Olivia Wilde-directed clip for Dark Necessities in June.

You do you, Chili Peppers. You do you.
