As Reggae and cultural events are blooming in QLD, REGGAETOWN returns as part of the Cairns Festival for 2009. REGGAETOWN 2009 now has the final artist line up, with wicked music from Africa, Jamaica, New Zealand, Vanuatu, Numea, The Torres Straits, Australia and more. The Festival will have a delicious range of food, featuring a mix of global flavours to tickle the tastebud. There will be workshops for kids and adults and some exciting surprises.
To commence the Festival Cairns festivities, REGGAETOWN will have a float in the annual Festival Cairns Parade. It will feature LIVE reggae artists pumping the vibes to the masses before the fireworks display on the Esplanade.

A series of REGGAETOWN weekend sideshows will showcase this year, with a number of venues in Cairns adopting the Reggae vibe. These include the Festival Cairns Club, The Salthouse, Brisbane venue the Step Inn, and Cairns favorite The Greenant Cantina. These venues and more will be proudly presenting some REGGAETOWN artists over the week from September 3rd to 12th.
